Principal's Message

Greetings, and welcome to SJHS' web site!

I am very proud to be the principal of this National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence! Our students, parents and faculty/staff--past and present--truly deserve this honor. No school could ask for a more committed and supportive school community.

Saint Joseph High School has prospered because of its foundation built upon the legacy left to us by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Their legacy and our foundation stem from the following tenets of their constitution:

to always strive for "excellence tempered by gentleness, peace and joy;"

to be "all of which woman is capable;" and

to serve the "dear neighbor without distinction."

This legacy calls us to develop the whole student--academically, spiritually, socially, and athletically.

Technology is just one way in which we assist in our students' development. We expect and encourage our faculty to integrate technolgy in the classroom, and our students to use it for a variety of curricular and cocurricular activities. Consequently, our website is totally faculty- and student-generated, and we're proud that our own Saint Joseph community has invested its creativity in it.

We would love to hear from you. If you have a comment or if there is information you would like to see posted on our website, please email us using the website email link.

Thank you for visiting our website, where at SJHS, we "challenge the mind, and cultivate the spirit."
