Mission Statement:

Saint Joseph High School, is a Catholic secondary school, which serves the needs of a diverse population of young women in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Our mission is to offer college bound students, as well as students who will finish their formal education upon graduation, a strong, value-centered, and complete education.

As a faith community unified by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, we share in their mission to promote justice, love and peace for the "dear neighbor" through a charism of unity and reconciliation. We recognize that the family is primarily and principally responsible for the education of their daughters. However, in close collaboration with our students' families, we aim to prepare adolescents for adult life:

  • by providing academic excellence;
  • by providing opportunities for each student to reach her maximum potential, emotionally, academically, and spiritually;
  • by providing a variety of co-curricular activities;
  • by emphasizing the importance of cultural and socioeconomic diversity;
  • by emphasizing the importance and practice of the faith;
  • by fostering an appreciation for the past and a hope for the future animated by a spirit of charity based upon the Gospel. We are committed to student development, discipline, diversity and dignity.
